Freedom / Slavery

 Humanity has strived for freedom throughout

history. But what freedom really is and what it 

means is harder to agree upon.

 First and foremost, it is important to find out 

if you are talking about FREEDOM FROM or FREEDOM TO.

 In the English language, there are two different 

words for this. Freedom is Freedom from and Liberty 

is Freedom to.

 The Indo-European root word for the English words

are: Freedom comes from the Indo-European root 

word pri- meaning to love. While the root word 

for Liberty is leudh2- which means to mount up, grow.

 But there is still more confusion when the word 

Freedom is to be interpreted. The opposite of 

freedom is slavery or entrapment. Speaking as 

Socrates we will distinguish between three 

different ways of looking at Slavery.

1. Simple slavery means that the one who is 

enslaved is aware that he is enslaved and 

therefore has an opportunity to do something 

about it.

2. Double slavery means that the one who is 

enslaved is unaware that he is enslaved and 

therefore does not understand that he is 

enslaved. But those who suffer from double 

slavery can be made to realize that they are 

enslaved if someone makes them realize that 

they are actually enslaved.

3. You suffer from triple slavery if you are 

convinced that you are free when you are 

actually enslaved. Those who suffer from 

triple slavery cannot be made to realize that 

they are enslaved and is therefore helplessly 

stuck in a situation as slaves.

 With insights about these variously difficult 

forms of slavery and knowledge of the condition 

of mankind, one can conclude that the eternal 

spiritual being who is stuck in being human 

and having no reality that the true self is 

an eternal spiritual being, suffers from 

threefold slavery. 

 The small number of individuals who, on the 

other hand, either realize that they are trapped 

in a human beingness or are able to realize 

this with the help of Socratic dialogues, can 

be helped.

 It is possible for these few individuals to 

start to act to free themselves from the swamp 

of ignorance they are stuck in.

 But it's not easy!

Climate change? Caused by Humanity?

 It doesn't matter who/what has caused climate

change. It is nevertheless a fact that it is

happening. And it has CONSEQUENCES.

 The question that no politician wants to discuss

is: What measures have to be taken to ensure that

our modern western civilization does not succumb?

 Check the program and wake up! It doesn't help to 

close your eyes to the problem. It doesn't help to 

smile and be happy just because it could be worse.

 Because it will get worse. And the underlying

problem that our politicans absolutely do not

even want to talk about is the global population 

increase. That problem is completely taboo!   

 What happens when climate change contributes to 

economic and political instability? When water 

scarcity becomes a catalyst for conflict and  

climate change interacts with social uprising 

and terrorism? Researchers and defense experts 

have pointed out the connections between the

effects of climate change in large parts of the

world and the emergence of social unrest, terror

and states in decay. Where the consequences result

in large-scale migration across the globe.
